Free tours open up one of the C&O Canal's last surviving lockhouses, furnished like it's still 1920.
Free, staff-led tours of Lockhouse 44 and grounds run 10 am–2 pm on September 27, a half-mile downstream from Cushwa Basin Visitor Center in Williamsport. Tours may be cancelled for high wind, rain, or extreme heat.
