Clothes, shoes, linens

In good shape, a charity gives it directly to someone: Bread for the City, SOME, and Martha's Table all want seasonal, ready-to-wear clothing, and Suited for Change wants freshly dry-cleaned women's professional wear. In any shape, it still shouldn't be trash; clothing is six percent of DC's residential garbage, and a bin at Martha's Table or any H&M takes stained or torn things for rags and recycling. Cash is possible only for current, excellent pieces: Reddz in Georgetown pays on the spot, everyone else is 50 percent consignment.
